Scholarships provide the freedom from financial stress during the course of your studies. 1. The Vicki L. Schechtman Scholarship
It’s a scholarship for Lefties Women. Schechtman scholarship will be favoring the women involved in the field of research, but also active participant of social activities, having the financial needs. Preference for the selection of candidates will be given to women. It is available only to the US citizens and student should hold 3.0 or higher GPA. 2. Eleanor Roosevelt Fund Award
Eleanor Roosevelt Fund Award is unrestricted to any country of origin of the applicant, unrestricted to the place of institution. The major aim is to promote institutions favoring equality for women and girls in field of education. Scholarship amount is around $5000 and deadline is November 1, 2016.
3. Women in Federal Law Enforcement (WIFLE) Scholarship Program
WIELE funded program for women involved in law enforcement careers. Applicant must be enrolled in US accredited college or university, holding above 3.0 GPA. Reference letter from a community leader along with an essay explaining involvement in community task is also needed. Amount for scholarship is $2500. Deadline for application is May, 2016.
4. Google Anita Borg Memorial Scholarship
It is for women aspiring to compete in the field of Computer Technology and studying computer sciences. Scholarship deadline is December,2016. Mount of scholarship award is $10,000. Applicant should be attending the college full time with the requirement of GPA above 3.5.
5. Women Independent Scholarship Program
This scholarship is mainly for women surviving the partner abuse. Women who now want to make a life for themselves by improving their educational background first. It was first established in 1999 as a project of Sunshine Lady Foundation, now solely working for helping the women in establishing their independence.
