The Louis Dreyfus-Weidenfeld Scholarship and Leadership Programme is targeted at students from developing countries in South America, Africa and Asia who are interested in attaining a graduate degree at Oxford University.
Prospective student should be resident in an eligible country (the list of eligible countries can be found at the website of the scholarship) and be applying for one of the eligible courses for the scholarship: agriculture, health care, environmental and water management, economics, public and foreign policy etc. See the official website for the complete list of eligible programmes. The student should be prepared to return to his or her country of residence after completion of the program.
In your scholarship proposal you should be able to show that you have an interest in helping the global community via your chosen area of study. Furthermore, you should be able to show a connection between the subject you have chosen to study and your long term career goals, illustrating how you envisage your knowledge gained would contribute tp improvement in your country of origin and the world as a whole.
Deadline for submission of application is 8th or 18th Jan 2018 (depending on your subject of study)
The scholarship will cover 100% of University and college fees and a grant for living costs (of at least £14,533). Awards are made for the full duration of your fee liability for the agreed course.
Instructions for application
For you to be considered for the scholarship, you must:
1. Visit Oxford University’s website and go the “Funding” section.
2. Select Louis Dreyfus-Weidenfeld Scholarship and Leadership Programme in the Funding section
3. Submit your application before stated deadline
4. Fill the Weidenfeld Scholarship Questionnaire( found on the website) and send it along with your graduate application form.
